Redwood City's Goals
Redwood City’s 2030 Climate Action Plan (CAP) provides a pathway to reducing our carbon emissions 50 percent below 2005 levels by 2030, an interim step toward the ultimate goal of achieving carbon neutrality well before 2045. Together, we can foster a vibrant economy, increase our resiliency, and support Redwood City's vision for a livable and sustainable community for all generations to come.

Our Roadmap for a Sustainable Future
Adopted on November 16, 2020, Redwood City's Climate Action Plan identifies key strategies for the next decade to stay on pace with achieving our 2030 goals. The Climate Action Plan is also a call to action to residents, community organizations, and businesses to take an active part in transitioning to a low-carbon future and clean economy. Implementing the Plan
Implementing the Climate Action Plan involves a multi-faceted approach, focusing on reducing emissions, adapting to unavoidable climate impacts, and community outreach and awareness.
